Barry Chen provides overall leadership to InterChina’s M&A advisory, corporate finance, and investment advisory practice. He is also a member of InterChina’s Management Committee.

Based in InterChina’s Shanghai office, Mr. Chen has accumulated over 15 years of cross-border mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic planning experience in various industries. He has led and supported successful completion of over 40 M&A and divestiture transactions in China, the United States, Canada, Asia Pacific, and European regions (Germany, Switzerland, UK, France, Ireland, Poland). He has advised both global fortune 500 and medium-sized companies on growth strategies and execution of M&A transactions in China.

Mr. Chen has extensive experience in deal origination, joint venture formation/buyouts, capital raising, valuation, restructuring, privatization, and insolvency. He is an experienced negotiator who understands the complexity in structuring, valuing, and integrating acquired companies. He has developed extensive senior-level contacts and deal origination capacity.

Prior to InterChina, Mr. Chen worked at UPS (Global M&A Director) and Price Waterhouse (Transaction Practice), working in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He also has well-established relationships with leading global investment banking firms.
