Partner

Partners are equity shareholders in InterChina, and have ultimate responsibility for the company.

All our Partners are professional consultants and advisors that have become leaders in their fields. They are experts in specific functions or sectors, well recognized by their peers, and have entrusted relationships with their clients. They naturally serve as role models for younger colleagues working their way upwards.

Importantly, our Partners provide stability through their loyalty to InterChina. All were with the company for more than 5 years upon joining the partnership, and made a commitment to stay with the company for at least an additional 3 years. They define who we are as a company by embodying the corporate culture.

The Partners are responsible for the long-term development of InterChina. More specifically, they develop and shape InterChina's strategy, and watch over the company's human resources and financial performance.

Director

Directors have leadership roles, sitting on InterChina's Management Committee, and are collectively responsible for the day-to-day management of the company.

They are professional consultants and advisors that have proven leadership capabilities. At InterChina that starts with embracing an attitude of service to others. It includes having a vision to share, constantly striving to develop at many levels, engaging the hearts and minds of colleagues, and achieving the desired results.

The Strategy Practice and M&A Practice each have a Managing Director. They are responsible for setting and ensuring standards in client work, driving the performance and development of their teams, and organizing resources and recruitment.

InterChina also has three Market Directors for China, North America and Europe. They are responsible for developing clients in those markets, supporting communication during client work, and maintaining client relationships over the long-term.

In addition to client work, Principals and Associate Principals take on broader responsibilities across the company. They may be involved in leading one of InterChina's sector groups, developing new clients, or coaching several junior colleagues.

Their consulting capabilities are normally underpinned by substantial relevant experience (>8 years), a strong academic record and professional qualifications (e.g. MBA), and multilingual capabilities (fluent Mandarin and fluent English).

Principal (M&A Practice)

In the M&A Advisory Practice, Principals and Associate Directors are professionals with proven transaction execution capabilities.

They serve as Engagement Managers on acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances and divestments. They are responsible for deal origination (systematic screening or opportunistic introductions), transaction advisory (term sheet, due diligence, valuation etc) and negotiation (strategy/tactics, pace control, trust building, expectation management etc).
